You can change your time zone by going to your Account Settings page and navigating to the time zones panel. There you can select the time zone from the drop down and click 'Save Changes' to save it.
We require that you save your time zone with us because we display due dates and times for everything in relation to your time zone. When you add or view an assignment or anything time related in Schoolbinder we adjust the time to where you are.
When you sign up with Schoolbinder we automatically take your time zone from your local browser settings. This compensates for daylight savings. So, you live in Easter Standard Time (UTC -5) and you create your account during daylight savings time Schoolbinder records it as UTC -4. So, when daylight savings is over, all times will be off by an hour. If you notice this or if its a problem, simply change it back to whichever time zone you want in your Account Settings page.
